More than a mere geographical identity, West Dinajpur has stood as a living chronicle of resistance and resilience. From the freedom movement to the fiery Tebhaga agitation—where farmers rose to demand their rightful share—the soil of this land has repeatedly echoed with voices of defiance. Dear Members, At the very outset, we extend our warm greetings and best wishes to all of you on the occasion of the English New Year. May the coming year bring you good health, peace, and prosperity. We would like to express our sincere thanks and deep gratitude to all members for your continued trust and wholehearted support of the elected Executive Committee of the Club. With your active cooperation and assistance, we firmly believe that we will be able to manage and run the Club successfully, as we have done in the past. In the interest of the Club’s overall development, we request you to kindly share both your likes and dislikes with us, so that appropriate steps may be taken accordingly. Along with social initiatives and recreational activities, one of our key objectives is to organize professionally relevant programmes, seminars, and similar events, as well as to strengthen the social and economic security of our members. Time will tell how far we can progress, but regardless of the challenges, we remain steadfast in our commitment to our goals. Efforts toward the infrastructural development of the Club will continue. At the same time, we place special emphasis on increasing the participation of women, enrolling new members, and introducing high-quality programmes for the benefit of all members. In the present digital era, the responsibilities of journalists have become both more complex and more significant. The Press Club continues to support its members by addressing professional concerns, fostering unity, and creating opportunities for growth and innovation. In celebration of our Golden Jubilee year, the Press Club has undertaken a range of initiatives in the fields of sports, education, healthcare, culture, and social welfare, aimed at contributing meaningfully to the overall development and well-being of society.
